Birthday Bananas!

I am a little late posting about this but last weekend we went to three birthday parties in the span of two days! Whew! Saturday afternoon we started things off at Emma Hensley's first birthday party in her parents back yard (see previous post). Then Sunday at lunch we went to my precious niece Mary Bibb's third birthday party. Her party was princess themed and everyone went all out.

Here is her royal highness on her throne that Birdie and I gave her.

From there, we moved on to my other niece, Hannah's, birthday party that same night. Me Me cooked us a great dinner with cookie cake for dessert. Caroline loves her Hannah and she also really loved that cookie cake.

Riding in Cars With Boys....

We spent Saturday night at our sweet friend Emma Hensley's first birthday party. We had a great time, Jennie Marie outdid herself on the food and decorations. Caroline experienced a few firsts at the party. She drove her first car, took her first ride in a car, and got her first kiss from a boy!!! Thanks Wallace! Please notice the look on her face during the kiss. (I think she was still mad that Wallace has lifted up her dress just moments before...what a player!!!)

MaKeOvErs!!

Bibby came over the other day and gave Caroline her very first makeover. Please look carefully and notice the blue eyeshadow over my sweet baby's eyes. Bibby also got her make-up done (she applied her own lipstick) and we did her hair, but poor Caroline missed out of the hair part for obvious reasons!

9 Months!

Wow! I can hardly believe that Caroline is already nine months old! She will be a year before we know it. She is changing and evolving so much. She waves, claps, makes "funny face", says "ma ma" and "bye bye", is really close to saying "da da", and is finally growing some hair and some teeth. No real improvements on the crawling though and I really just think she might skip crawling all together. She has skinny legs from "running" on her back and and while sitting up. She does this constantly. Her 9 month stats from the doctor were 50% in weight at 19 lbs 4 ounces and slightly off the chart in height at 27 and 3/4 inches!

Get Your Ice Cold Lemonade!!!

I had a dream the other night that Mary Bibb and I had a lemonade stand so we decided to make it a reality. Mary Bibb, Lillianna, and I went shopping for all of the supplies and John built a homemade stand. The big girls were adorable and would jump up and down yelling "Stop!" at every car that went by. The three babies played on their quilt and sweated. I think that they made about $25 so it was a very successful day. Afterward, we were on our way to lunch with Granny and MAry Bibb looked up at me and said, "Mo Mo, selling lemonade was really fun." So worth it.........

Well, Caroline got her first taste of macaroni and cheese last night. It is both mine and Dan's absolute favorite food so we had a feeling that she would like it. It is also important to mention that is was Dan's grandmother's homemade mac and cheese which is amazing. Her liking it was an understatement.....she loved it! She laughed and squealed the entire time she ate it..so cute!

Beach Bums

We took a trip to Destin last week with Dan's parents and we had an absolute blast. They were amazing.....they provided round the clock baby care! His mom got up with Caroline in the morning, brought her to the beach after her nap (I was already there laying out), took us shopping, and his parents kept her so that Dan and I could go out and eat by ourselves every night. It was wonderful! Thanks MeMe and Pappy!
