Fun With Friends...

Caroline has had lots of fun playing with her friends lately. She is so entertained by other children. We are so thankful for so many friends her age!

First Father's Day!

This past Sunday Dan celebrated his very first Father's Day. It was a great day. Caroline and I brought him his presents in bed and then we went to church and celebrated our precious neice Virginia's baptism. Caroline got her to experience her first taste of Granny's infamous sweet tea. She practically dove in the cup...so cute! We spent the rest of the day just hanging out with Dan. Happy Father's Day! We love you........

Lake House

We spent the Sunday before last at my grandparents lake house on Smith Lake. (Yes, I am really behind in blogging) Caroline had a blast. She swam in the lake and really enjoyed the boat ride. She even took a really good nap in the lake house. We brought her monitor down to the dock and it worked out perfectly.

Congratulations Aunt Birdie!!!

My sister Kate, who we call Birdie, got engaged Wednesday night! We are all so excited for her. Her fiance's name is David Peek and Caroline is so excited to have an Uncle Dave! They are planning the wedding for early September so we are going to have a busy three months of planning. Kate and Dave, we are so happy for you both!

Playdate

On Wednesday, my good friend from high school, Briana, came over and brought her 3 month old little girl for a playdate. The baby's name is Elli and she is adorable! We had such a good time catching up and Caroline loves to watch other babies so she had fun too!

The Cat in the Hat

For those of you that dont know, Dan and I met randomly at a Halloween Party at Kate Cole's house in October 2004. I was not dressed up because I hadn't planned to go, but Dan was fully dressed as the Cat in the Hat. It was love at first sight! HA HA He asked me to help him tie up the back of his costume and he had me from then on. Ever since, we have gotten Cat in the Hat paraphernalia......dolls, books, Christmas ornaments, etc. Now, we even have a Cat in the Hat baby!!!!

Happy Birthday Maggie!!

Caroline's great-grandmother Maggie (Dan's grandmother) just recently celebrated her eighty-ninth birthday! We went out to eat with her and had a blast. She is an amazing woman and seems so much younger than her eighty-nine years. Caroline loves her....they like to play "patty-cake" together. She is an amazing cook and so spunky and fun. Happy birthday Maggie, WE LOVE YOU!
